How to Show or Hide Widgets on Specific WordPress Pages

In this post, I’m going to be going over how to show or hide widgets on specific WordPress pages quick and easy. I’ve also provided a video tutorial below that walks you through the process step by step.

How to Show or Hide Widgets on Specific WordPress Pages

The first thing we want to do is go to the WordPress dashboard. We want to find the plugins tab over on the left-hand side and select add new.

From this page, we want to type in the plugin that we are looking for in the plugin search box towards the right of the page. We want to type in the plugin that we are looking for so that we can easily show or hide widgets on specific WordPress pages. Type in display widgets. This is the plugin that we are going to be using. Once you get the plugin typed in click search.

You will see that display widgets should be the first plugin showing. Go ahead and install the plugin. Once it is done installing you will see where you can activate the plugin. Once the display widgets plugin is successfully activated hover over the Appearance tab and click on the Widgets link.

Towards the top of this page, you will see available widgets that we can use. We want to find categories and drag it over to the secondary widget area.

Once we do that you will see where you can put in a title if you want to, you can display the widget as a dropdown if you would like, you can show post counts, etc… Under that, you will see you can make a selection to show or hide widgets for everyone, logged in users, or logged out users. Lastly, you can select if you’d like to show or hide the widgets on specific pages.
