You can disregard the steps I go through below using WordPress if you aren’t going to use WordPress for building your site.

If you click the Advanced tab once in the WordPress dashboard, it’ll take you to the Bluehost cPanel, also known as the Bluehost Control Panel.

From the Bluehost cPanel page, scroll all the way down to the SoftAculous Apps Installer.

Let’s continue in setting up your WordPress site.

You now want to click the create your website button.

How To Register A Domain Name With Namecheap

Click here to be taken to Namecheap to start the first step in our how to register a domain name with Namecheap guide.

You will be on the Namecheap home page where you want to search for a domain name and see if it is available. Once you type in your domain name, click the orange search button to the right to see if your domain name is available.

If it’s available, you’re in luck! You want to make sure you grab it before it’s gone. If for some reason you find that the domain name you wanted isn’t available Namecheap will provide you with similar names for you to choose.

namecheap-domain-name-not-available

You could try changing your domain extension. For example, .com, .net, .org, etc. Want to try another domain name? Just go back to the previous page where you were searching and try again.

It is very common to try several attempts until you find one that is available. Don’t worry if this happens to you.

Once you find the domain name that you want to purchase you want to select the shopping cart button found over on the right of the domain name.

If you want to purchase more than one domain name, you can do so now. Click back to the domain search feature and start adding your domain names to the cart.

Select the time frame you would like. You will see auto-renew next to the year selection. You can either keep this off or turn it on. I usually keep this on so that I don’t risk the domain name expiring and someone grabbing it.

Next, you will see WhoisGuard. This feature comes free for life with all Namecheap domain name purchases. This feature keeps your personal contact information private so that spammers and telemarketers don’t get a hold of your personal contact information. Instead of listing your contact details in the whois database it’ll showcase Namecheap’s.

You will see PremiumDNS. You can enable it or keep it disabled. I recommend you keep it disabled, but the choice is yours.

You will see improve your site with some options. You can go through these to see if you would like to add any to your domain name purchase with Namecheap. I recommend you keep these unselected as they aren’t necessary. The choice is yours though.

Does Bluehost Charge Monthly Or All At Once?

Disclosure: We receive a commission from some of the companies mentioned in this post, including Bluehost. Purchasing through one of our links adds zero cost to you and can only save you money.

A common question I see being asked online about Bluehost is, does Bluehost charge monthly or all at once?

In this post, I’m going to answer that very question.

does-bluehost-charge-monthly-or-all-at-once

Does Bluehost Charge Monthly Or All At Once?

So can you pay monthly with Bluehost? Bluehost currently does not charge monthly for their hosting plans for new accounts. You can, however, pay monthly with Bluehost if you have already signed up with Bluehost and you are getting ready to renew your plan with them.

For new accounts, the minimum term for Bluehost hosting is one year. After the one year, you will be able to then pay monthly with them. If for any reason you can’t purchase hosting upfront for a full year there is one excellent web hosting company that does charge month to month, and that is Hostgator.

They have fantastic hosting in case you haven’t heard of them. I have an exclusive promo code with Hostgator that will get you hosting up to 60% off depending on the term of the plan you end up going with. If you pay month to month with Hostgator you will get 20% off your first month!

Click here to go to Hostgator.com and enter the promo code CUPID60 at checkout under enter a coupon code.

hostgator-enter-coupon-code

If you do decide to pay monthly with Hostgator, you will be paying more per month than Bluehost. If you are trying to save money long-term Bluehost is the cheaper option.

I recommend you choose Bluehost if you want to save money. The monthly price with Hostgator can be as much as $10.95 a month after the up to 60% off offer.

With Bluehost, you can get hosting for as low as $2.95 a month. You just have to purchase hosting annually as they do not offer monthly hosting for new accounts.

Bluehost does offer a 30-day money-back guarantee so if for any reason you aren’t happy with their service you can cancel and get a refund no questions asked!

5-reasons-to-choose-bluehost-web-hosting

Why Choose Bluehost Web Hosting? Important Bluehost Facts To Know

With Bluehost’s hosting, they provide a bunch of excellent free features.

These features include a free domain name, a free Bluehost website site builder, a one-click Bluehost WordPress installation if you will be using WordPress, 1,000+ free templates and themes to choose from, and Bing and Google Adwords credits.

Some of the more advanced features Bluehost offers that you get free is unlimited domains and website hosting, ample disk space and bandwidth, ample email accounts and FTP accounts, Secure Shell, SSL Certificate, FTP, Stats, CGI, Ruby Perl, PHP, MySQL, 24/7 Phone, Chat and Email Support.

With Bluehost’s cheap web hosting and free features, this is one of the many reasons we highly recommend our readers to choose Bluehost.

Bluehost is User-Friendly

When picking a web host, you want to make sure the hosting provider is user-friendly. Bluehost hosting is easy to use and very user-friendly.

Bluehost uses the most popular cPanel out there. If you are unfamiliar with the word cPanel, it stands for Control Panel.

Below, is a screenshot of the Bluehost cPanel or otherwise known as Control Panel.

bluehost-cpanel

With its clean design, it makes building your site a quick and easy process even if you are a newbie to building websites.

In the Bluehost cPanel, you will find you can edit your files, databases, accounts, domains, etc.

One thing that is awesome about Bluehost’s cPanel is that it includes SimpleScripts.

You might be wondering just what is SimpleScripts? SimpleScripts is a one-click script installer that offers easy installation and management for applications including popular ones like WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal.

SimpleScripts makes it a breeze to install sites using WordPress one of the most popular applications used for building websites today.

Fast Page Loading Speed

An important thing to look at when choosing a web host is loading speed. You want to have quick loading speed, so potential customers and site visitors don’t abandon your site before they get to see what you sell or offer.

Page speed also is an important ranking factor that the major search engines use when ranking sites. Bluehost hosting is known for its fast loading times. Bluehost provides the Cloudflare CDN service which allows their customers to speed up their sites and performance easily.

If for some reason the server goes down if you are using the Cloudflare CDN service your site will stay up and running as Cloudflare keeps a cached copy of your website online for your visitors or readers.

99.9% Uptime

Going along with the fast speed that Bluehost offers they also guarantee a 99.9% uptime. A majority of the time Bluehost has 100% uptime.

There are many hosting providers out there that guarantee a 99.9% uptime but fail to deliver on that promise. As you have probably already guessed this can be very frustrating for their customers as this can cost businesses lots of lost sales or returning readers.

A lot of the hosting providers out there rent data centers but not Bluehost. Bluehost has all its servers in its very own dedicated data centers.

In fact, Bluehost has invested over 20 million dollars to build these data centers. These data centers provide their customers with better security and stability. As you can see this is another excellent reason why you should choose Bluehost.

Bluehost provides 24/7 Technical Support

That’s right! Bluehost offers 24/7 technical support via phone, live chat, and email. Once a Bluehost customer has a problem they can chat with the support team, send a support ticket via email, or call them at (888) 401-4678.

They also provide an excellent help support base where their customers can type the problem they are having, and answers will be presented to help them if the customer wants to try to figure it out without reaching out to their excellent support team.

This is the end of our why choose Bluehost post.

As you can see from the five reasons we mentioned in this article choosing Bluehost is an excellent choice, and we highly recommend that you do!

They offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for 30 days so if you are not happy you can cancel and get a refund no questions asked!

You will now be on a page where you will need to select your plan. You will see three different plans that you can choose. A basic, plus, and prime plan.

The basic plan is the most common plan and is suitable for anyone with just one blog or website.

If you have multiple blogs or websites, you will want to select the plus plan as this comes with unlimited domains and email accounts.

Once you find the plan that best suits your needs click the green select button to go to the next page.

You will now be on a sign up now page, and this is where you will enter the domain name that you would like to get that is completely free with our Bluehost discount.

If you already have a domain name from another provider, you can enter it in the box on the right-hand side that says, “I have a domain name.”

Once you select a domain name, you will be at a create your account page where you will input your account information, package information, and payment information.

Go ahead and fill out your account information that you will be using.

create-your-bluehost-account

Next, you want to select your package information. You will see account plan. You can select how far out you want to purchase your Bluehost web hosting. You will notice you will get a lower price the further out you buy the web hosting.

Next, you will see Site Backup Pro, Search Engine Jumpstart, SiteLock Security, and Domain Privacy. These services are entirely optional. I recommend you unselect these as there are a lot of free alternatives that work just as well and by unselecting these it will save you some money.

I do recommend that you keep the domain privacy selected. Domain privacy will keep your personal information private and safe from telemarketers and spammers on the web.

If you’re not sure what each of the other services is I will go into more detail about each.

Site Backup Pro is a feature that automatically backs up your site and restores your site with just a click of a button.

Search Engine Jumpstart is pretty vague. My guess is this service will submit your site to the major search engines each month to get indexed.

SiteLock Security is a service where your site will get scanned daily to see if your site is being blocked, spammed, or has malware.

Again, these are entirely optional, and there are free alternatives out there that work just as great.

Now you will see under Savings the amount of money you are saving and right under it; you will see the total price for the Bluehost web hosting listed.

63-percent-off-bluehost-hosting-deal

The last step is to fill out the payment information. Once you enter your information select that you agree to Bluehost’s Terms of Service, Cancellation Policy, and Privacy Policy.

Now click submit. You have successfully purchased your discounted Bluehost web hosting with your free domain name discount.
